Murilo Ferreira (executive)

Murilo Ferreira (born in Minas Gerais, Brazil) is a Brazilian business executive, most notably known for his tenure as the CEO and President of Vale S.A., one of the world's largest mining companies.

Ferreira's career at Vale spanned several decades. Prior to becoming CEO, he held various leadership positions within the company, including roles in ferrous minerals, strategy, and business development. He was appointed CEO in 2011, succeeding Roger Agnelli.

During his leadership, Vale faced significant challenges, including fluctuating commodity prices, operational disruptions, and the devastating Mariana dam disaster in 2015.
