Neon Yang is a Singaporean author, primarily known for their science fiction and fantasy works that often explore themes of identity, diaspora, colonialism, and technological advancement. They are a non-binary writer, using they/them pronouns.

Yang is perhaps best known for their Tensorate series, a silkpunk fantasy series of novellas from Tor.com Publishing, beginning with The Black Tides of Heaven and The Red Threads of Fortune. The series is notable for its unique worldbuilding, complex characters, and exploration of gender fluidity and non-binary identities.
