Miguel Ángel Benítez (footballer)

Miguel Ángel Benítez (born May 17, 1970) is a Paraguayan former professional footballer who played as a striker.

Benítez had a successful career playing for clubs primarily in Paraguay, Spain, and Mexico. He is best known for his time with Club Olimpia in Paraguay, where he won multiple league titles and was a key player. He also played for clubs such as Espanyol and Atlético Madrid in Spain, and Potros Neza in Mexico.

Internationally, Benítez represented the Paraguay national team, participating in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, where he scored a goal against Spain. He also played in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He earned a significant number of caps for his country and was a prominent figure in Paraguayan football during his playing career.
