Dezső Szabó (athlete)

Dezső Szabó (born November 14, 1967) is a retired Hungarian decathlete. He competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, finishing in 15th place. His personal best score in the decathlon is 8244 points, achieved in Budapest in 1992. Szabó also represented Hungary at several World Championships and European Championships. He is considered one of Hungary's most successful decathletes.
