Legnago

Legnago is a town and comune in the province of Verona, Veneto, northeast Italy. It is located on the Adige River, about 43 kilometers (27 miles) southeast of Verona.

Historically, Legnago has played a significant strategic role due to its position on the Adige. It was fortified extensively, especially during the Austrian rule, and served as an important defensive point. The fortifications were largely dismantled in the late 19th century.
