Dovilai

Dovilai is a town in Klaipėda District Municipality, Lithuania. It is located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Klaipėda city, near the Minija River. Dovilai is the administrative center of the Dovilai elderate (seniūnija).

Historically, the area was part of East Prussia and known under the German name Dawillen. Following World War II, the area became part of the Lithuanian SSR, and the town was renamed Dovilai.

The town features a church, a school, a cultural center, and other essential infrastructure. Agriculture and related industries play a role in the local economy. Dovilai is also known for its close proximity to the Curonian Lagoon and the Nemunas Delta Regional Park, making it a potential stop for tourists exploring the natural beauty of the region.
