1976 World Cup (men's golf)
The 1976 World Cup was a men's golf team tournament held November 18-21 at the Mission Hills Country Club in Palm Springs, California, USA. It was the 24th World Cup event.
The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 34 teams, each consisting of two players. The combined score of each team's two players in each round counted towards the team's total.
The winning team was the United States, represented by Ben Crenshaw and Hale Irwin. It was the 12th time the United States had won the World Cup. The American team finished with a score of 569, seven strokes ahead of the second-place team, Wales. The Welsh team consisted of Brian Huggett and Craig Defoy. Third place was taken by Spain represented by Manuel Ballesteros and Severiano Ballesteros.
The individual champion, for the lowest individual score over the 72 holes, was Ben Crenshaw with a score of 281.
