Unstoppable (2013 film)

Unstoppable is a 2010 American action thriller film directed by Tony Scott and starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. It is loosely based on the "CSX 8888 incident" which occurred in Ohio in 2001, involving an unmanned runaway train.

The film tells the story of a veteran train engineer, Frank Barnes (Washington), and a young conductor, Will Colson (Pine), who team up to stop a runaway freight train carrying toxic chemicals from causing a catastrophic disaster in populated areas. The train, designated AWVR 777, has been accidentally set in motion without a crew due to a series of errors made during switching operations at a rail yard.
