Susan Bell (bishop)
Susan Bell (born 1953) is a Canadian Anglican bishop. She served as the ninth Bishop of Niagara in the Anglican Church of Canada from 2016 to 2024.
Bell was ordained a deacon in 1990 and a priest in 1991. Prior to her election as bishop, she served in various parishes in the Diocese of Niagara, including as rector of St. George's, St. Catharines.
Her election as Bishop of Niagara was historic, as she was the first woman to hold the position. During her episcopacy, she focused on issues such as social justice, reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, and supporting LGBTQ+ rights within the church. Bell also led the diocese through a period of significant change and restructuring.
Bell retired as Bishop of Niagara in 2024.
