Oison (river)
The Oison is a small river in France. It is a right tributary of the Essonne. Its source is in the commune of Estouches, in the Essonne department. The Oison flows generally north-northeast through the Essonne department, passing through the towns of Maisse and Buno-Bonnevaux, before joining the Essonne near Boigneville. It is approximately 24 kilometers (15 miles) in length. The river is known for its relatively clean water and supports diverse aquatic life. Local communities utilize the Oison for recreational activities such as fishing and kayaking, although its small size limits widespread navigation.
