Anna Hahn (chess player)
Anna Hahn (born June 20, 1976, in Riga, Latvia) is a German chess player who holds the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM).
Hahn learned to play chess at a young age and developed her skills rapidly. She emigrated to Germany with her family in 1989.
Hahn earned the Woman International Master (WIM) title in 1993 and the Woman Grandmaster (WGM) title in 1997. She has represented Germany in numerous international chess events, including the Women's Chess Olympiad. She played for Germany in the Women's Chess Olympiads of 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012.
Hahn has achieved several notable results in chess tournaments. She has won or shared first place in various international events. While not consistently ranked among the very top female players worldwide, she has maintained a solid and respectable level of play throughout her career. She has been active in the German chess league (Bundesliga) for many years.
Hahn is also known for her activities as a chess coach and trainer.
