Tommaso Caracciolo (archbishop of Taranto)

Tommaso Caracciolo (died 1485) was an Italian Roman Catholic prelate who served as Archbishop of Taranto.

Caracciolo belonged to the prominent Neapolitan noble family of the Caracciolo. He was appointed Archbishop of Taranto in 1473, succeeding Antonio de' Medici. His tenure as archbishop coincided with a period of significant political and social upheaval in the Kingdom of Naples, including tensions between the Aragonese monarchy and various baronial factions.

Little specific detail is widely available regarding his activities as archbishop, but he would have been responsible for the administration of the archdiocese, the ordination of priests, and the spiritual well-being of the Catholic population in the Taranto region. He likely participated in regional church councils and maintained relationships with other religious and secular leaders.

He served as Archbishop until his death in 1485. He was succeeded by Giacomo del Balzo.
