Limulunga
Limulunga is a town located in the Western Province of Zambia. It serves as the traditional capital of the Lozi people and is historically significant as the site where the Litunga (Lozi King) relocates during the annual Kuomboka ceremony. During the rainy season, the Zambezi River floods the Barotse Plains, and the Litunga moves from his dry-season capital in Lealui to Limulunga, which is situated on higher ground. This relocation symbolizes the movement of the Lozi people to escape the floodwaters. The town is primarily an agricultural center.
