Hal Hicks

Hal Hicks is a former professional in the United States Department of the Treasury, known for his work on international tax issues. He held the position of Associate Chief Counsel (International) for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from 2004 to 2009. In this role, he oversaw the development and interpretation of U.S. international tax regulations and rulings. His responsibilities included providing legal guidance on issues relating to cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, and tax treaties. Following his government service, Hicks transitioned to the private sector, joining Ernst & Young as a partner, where he specialized in international tax matters. He is considered an expert in the field of international taxation.
