Box (comics)
Box refers to several distinct characters in the Marvel Comics universe, all connected by a suit of powered armor designed or associated with the Canadian super-team Alpha Flight. The Box armor is notable for its immense strength and durability, but generally lacks versatility in other areas, focusing primarily on brute force.
The original Box armor was designed by Roger Bochs, a paraplegic mechanical genius. He used the armor to become a member of Alpha Flight, providing the team with considerable heavy firepower. Bochs's psychological state while using the armor was often unstable, due to a neural link between himself and the machine.
Subsequent versions of the Box armor have been worn by other individuals, including Walter Langkowski (Sasquatch), after he lost control of his Sasquatch form. Each iteration of the Box armor generally retains the core features of extreme strength and resilience, but may incorporate slight modifications or enhancements depending on the user and their specific needs. The Box armor serves as a symbol of raw power within the Alpha Flight mythos, often utilized as a last resort when faced with overwhelming threats.
