Stadtoldendorf (Samtgemeinde)

Stadtoldendorf is a Samtgemeinde (collective municipality) in the district of Holzminden, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 15 km southwest of Holzminden. Its seat is in the town Stadtoldendorf.

The Samtgemeinde Stadtoldendorf consists of the following municipalities:

• Arholzen
• Eschershausen
• Heinade
• Holzen
• Lenne
• Stadtoldendorf

The Samtgemeinde acts as an administrative body for the member municipalities, handling tasks such as planning, infrastructure, and certain public services. Each member municipality retains a degree of autonomy, with its own elected council and mayor responsible for local affairs. The Samtgemeinde is governed by a Samtgemeindebürgermeister (collective municipality mayor) and a council composed of representatives from the member municipalities.
