Floodtide (TV series)

Floodtide was an Australian television drama series that aired on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) from 1968 to 1969. Created by Michael Plant, the series was set in a small fishing village on the Hawkesbury River, north of Sydney, New South Wales. It focused on the lives and relationships of the local residents, including fishermen, shopkeepers, and their families, exploring themes of love, loss, hardship, and community spirit.

The series was known for its realistic portrayal of life in a rural Australian community and for its use of location shooting, which captured the beauty of the Hawkesbury River region. It featured a cast of well-known Australian actors, including Joe James, June Salter, and John Meillon.
