Nine Perfect Strangers (TV series)
Nine Perfect Strangers is an American drama streaming television miniseries based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. The series was created by David E. Kelley and John-Henry Butterworth, and stars Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Samara Weaving, and Asher Keddie.
The series follows nine stressed city dwellers who arrive at a remote health and wellness resort called Tranquillum House, run by the enigmatic Masha Dmitrichenko (Kidman). Unbeknownst to the guests, Masha has unconventional methods and a hidden agenda for their stay, blurring the lines between therapy and something far more dangerous. Over the course of their ten-day retreat, the guests are forced to confront their personal traumas and secrets as Masha pushes them to their psychological and emotional limits, leading to unexpected and often unsettling revelations.
The miniseries explores themes of grief, trauma, addiction, relationships, and the search for self-improvement. It delves into the complexities of human psychology and the lengths people will go to in order to heal and find peace.
