INS Nirghat (K89)
INS Nirghat (K89) was a Veer-class corvette of the Indian Navy. Commissioned in 1978, she served for several decades before being decommissioned in 2012. The Veer-class corvettes were a series of missile boats based on the Soviet Tarantul-class corvette. They were designed for anti-surface warfare and patrol duties. INS Nirghat was armed with anti-ship missiles, air defense guns, and anti-submarine warfare equipment.
