El Husseini (crater)

El Husseini is a small lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the southwest of the larger crater Buisson, and to the east of the crater Glauber.

This is a relatively unremarkable crater, characterized by a simple, bowl-shaped formation with a somewhat eroded rim. The inner walls slope down to a small, slightly irregular floor. There are no significant features within the crater, and no visible impacts along the rim or within the interior. Due to its location on the far side, El Husseini cannot be observed directly from Earth and is only visible through orbiting spacecraft or images taken by lunar missions.

The crater is named after the Egyptian astronomer Hussein Kamal El-Din (1902-1971).
