USS Reid
The USS Reid was the name of multiple ships in the United States Navy, named after Samuel Chester Reid, a naval hero of the War of 1812.

USS Reid (DD-21): A Smith-class destroyer, commissioned in 1909 and served during World War I. She was decommissioned in 1919 and sold for scrap.

USS Reid (DD-369): A Mahan-class destroyer, commissioned in 1936. She served extensively in the Pacific Theater during World War II. She participated in several major campaigns, including the Battle of the Coral Sea, the Battle of Midway, and the Guadalcanal Campaign. The USS Reid (DD-369) was sunk by Japanese kamikaze attacks on December 11, 1944, during the Battle of Ormoc Bay in the Philippines.
