Sergio González (footballer, born 1976)

Sergio González Soriano (born 29 October 1976) is a Spanish football manager and former player who played as a central midfielder.

As a player, González represented Espanyol, Deportivo de La Coruña, and Levante, amassing La Liga totals of 377 games and 34 goals over 15 seasons. He also earned 11 caps for the Spanish national team.

After retiring, he transitioned into coaching, beginning his managerial career at Espanyol B. He has since managed Espanyol, Real Valladolid, and Cádiz. He achieved promotion to La Liga with Valladolid in 2018 and with Cádiz in 2023.
