John Ward (rugby)

John Ward is a former Welsh international rugby union player. A hooker, Ward played club rugby for Pontypool and Newport. He was capped three times for Wales in 1972. His Wales debut was against Scotland at Murrayfield. He was part of the Pontypool front row, a formidable and highly regarded unit during their period of dominance in Welsh rugby.
