Church station (SEPTA)
Church station is a former SEPTA elevated train station in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was located on the Market–Frankford Line and served as a local stop between the Huntingdon and Kensington-Allegheny stations. The station was closed on May 4, 1991, due to low ridership and structural issues with the aging elevated structure. The station platform and connecting stairs were subsequently removed as part of a larger rehabilitation project on the Market-Frankford Line's elevated section. Currently, no trace of the former station remains, and trains pass through the location without stopping. The area is now solely served by nearby bus routes and the Huntingdon and Kensington-Allegheny stations.
