Lake Arlington (Texas)

Lake Arlington is a reservoir located in the city of Arlington, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Constructed in 1957, the lake serves as a primary source of drinking water for the city of Arlington.

The lake covers approximately 2,275 acres and has a maximum depth of 42 feet. Its primary inflow is the West Fork of the Trinity River. Lake Arlington is also used for recreational purposes, including boating, fishing, swimming (in designated areas), and water skiing.

The City of Arlington manages the lake and its surrounding parkland. Parks located along the lake's shoreline offer amenities such as boat ramps, picnic areas, playgrounds, and hiking trails. Common fish species found in Lake Arlington include largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, and sunfish.
