David Moss (footballer, born 1952)

David Moss (born 6 February 1952) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.

Moss began his career as an apprentice at Coventry City, turning professional in 1969. He failed to establish himself in the first team and moved to Luton Town in 1972. It was at Luton that Moss enjoyed his greatest success, playing a key role in their promotion to the First Division in 1974. He remained with Luton until 1978, making over 200 appearances for the club.

In 1978, Moss joined Derby County, where he spent two seasons. He then moved to Blackpool in 1980, followed by a spell at Lincoln City. He concluded his professional career with Peterborough United, before moving into non-league football.

After retiring from playing, Moss worked as a coach and scout for several clubs.
