Man Without a Name (1932 film)
Man Without a Name is a 1932 American pre-Code Western film directed by John Ford and starring Buck Jones, Madge Bellamy, and David Manners. The film is set in the American West and tells the story of a man, John Trent, who loses his memory and becomes known only as "Nevada." He finds himself caught between two rival factions as he tries to piece together his past and reclaim his identity. The film is notable for its use of outdoor locations and its depiction of frontier life. While not considered one of Ford's major works, it is a representative example of the Western genre during the early 1930s. The screenplay was written by Kenneth Perkins and Peter B. Kyne.
