Arthur Walsh (actor)
Arthur Walsh (1924 – 1995) was an American character actor, primarily known for his work in television. He was born in New York City. While he occasionally appeared in film, his career was largely defined by guest roles and supporting parts in various television series from the 1950s through the 1980s.
Walsh was often cast in roles that capitalized on his everyman appearance and his ability to portray a range of characters, from comedic to dramatic. He appeared in episodes of popular shows such as The Philco Television Playhouse, Studio One, The Twilight Zone (in the episode "It's a Good Life"), Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Leave It to Beaver, The Untouchables, The Andy Griffith Show, Gunsmoke, The Fugitive, Bonanza, Bewitched, The Monkees, The Mod Squad, Columbo, Emergency!, Kojak, Little House on the Prairie, MASH*, The Rockford Files, and Hill Street Blues.
Walsh's film credits include The Hustler (1961), Serpico (1973), and All the President's Men (1976).
He died in Los Angeles, California in 1995.
