Division of Angas (1903–1934)

The Division of Angas was an Australian Electoral Division located in the state of South Australia. It existed from 1903 to 1934. The division was named after George Fife Angas, a prominent early settler and philanthropist in South Australia.

Geographically, the Division of Angas generally covered areas northeast of Adelaide, including agricultural and wine-producing regions. Its boundaries shifted slightly during its existence due to electoral redistributions.

Historically, the Division of Angas was considered a relatively conservative seat. The political parties that held the seat during its lifetime varied, with the Nationalist Party and its predecessors holding it for the majority of its existence.

The Division of Angas was abolished in the electoral redistribution of 1934, with its territory largely being incorporated into the new Division of Angas and other surrounding electorates.
