Eric Eidsness (politician)

Eric Eidsness is an American politician and government official. He served in various roles within the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) during the George W. Bush administration. He is perhaps most notably remembered for his position as Assistant Administrator for Water at the EPA. In this role, he oversaw the agency's efforts to protect and restore the nation's waters, including regulating pollutants and managing water resources. He also served as the acting Deputy Administrator of the EPA.

Eidsness's tenure at the EPA was marked by both successes and controversies. His supporters pointed to advancements in water quality monitoring and enforcement under his leadership. Critics, however, raised concerns about certain policy decisions and the level of environmental protection during his time in office. After leaving the EPA, Eidsness has been involved in consulting and other endeavors related to environmental policy.
