Dalakhani

Dalakhani was a French-bred, Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He was known for his exceptional stamina and acceleration, winning several prestigious races in Europe during his racing career in the early 2000s.

Dalakhani was sired by Darshaan, a leading sire known for producing horses with stamina. His dam, Daltawa, was a winning daughter of Miswaki. He was owned by the Aga Khan IV and trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre.

His major victories include the Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby), the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, and the Prix Lupin. These wins established him as one of the top three-year-old colts of his generation.

Following his racing career, Dalakhani was retired to stud and became a successful sire, producing several Group 1 winners. His progeny inherited his stamina and athleticism, making him a sought-after stallion in the Thoroughbred breeding industry. He stood at stud in Ireland and later in France. Dalakhani died in 2021.
