Weber High School (Chicago)

Weber High School, officially known as Archbishop Weber High School, was a Catholic high school located in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. It operated from 1890 until its closure in 1999. Founded by the Congregation of the Resurrection, Weber initially served a primarily Polish immigrant population.

Throughout its history, Weber High School was a boys-only institution. It was known for its strong academic program and its competitive athletic teams, particularly in basketball and football. The school colors were blue and white, and the mascot was the Ramblers.

Weber offered a college preparatory curriculum and emphasized religious instruction. Extracurricular activities included various clubs, sports, and student organizations. Many Weber alumni went on to attend colleges and universities throughout the United States.

The school faced declining enrollment in the late 20th century, which contributed to its ultimate closure. The building was subsequently sold and redeveloped. While the physical building no longer operates as a school, the legacy of Archbishop Weber High School continues through its alumni and their contributions to the community.
