Thomas Sutcliffe (soldier)

Thomas Sutcliffe was a British soldier who served in the Napoleonic Wars and later became a prominent figure in the early history of Argentina. Born in Yorkshire, England, around 1790, Sutcliffe initially pursued a career in the textile industry before enlisting in the British Army. He saw action in several campaigns during the Napoleonic Wars, including the Peninsular War.
