WDCR (New Hampshire)

WDCR is a defunct radio station licensed to Hanover, New Hampshire, operating on 1340 AM. It was owned by Dartmouth College and served as the college's student-run radio station. While WDCR began broadcasting in 1958, its history is deeply intertwined with that of WBAA, an earlier campus radio station that operated from 1921 to 1941.

The call letters WDCR stood for "Dartmouth College Radio." The station offered a variety of programming, including news, sports, music, and talk shows, all produced and presented by Dartmouth students. WDCR provided valuable hands-on experience in broadcasting and journalism for numerous Dartmouth undergraduates.

The station ceased broadcasting in 2012. The license was cancelled and the facilities were donated. While the over-the-air signal is no longer active, Dartmouth College still maintains a student-run radio presence online through webcasts and streaming services.
