Slemdal (station)
Slemdal station is a station on the Holmenkollen Line (Line 1) of the Oslo Metro in Norway. It is located in the Slemdal neighborhood of the Vestre Aker borough, in the western part of Oslo.
The station opened on May 16, 1916, as part of the initial Holmenkollen Line. Originally, it was a surface station. In 1993, the line from Majorstuen to Skøyen was upgraded to metro standard, necessitating the reconstruction of several stations, including Slemdal. The rebuilt station is now partially underground, with platforms located beneath a road bridge.
Slemdal station is served by Line 1 trains running towards Frognerseteren in the north and, via the Common Tunnel, to various destinations in eastern Oslo. The station serves primarily residential areas and offers convenient access to the surrounding neighborhoods. There are bus connections available near the station.
