Waldsolms

Waldsolms is a municipality in the Lahn-Dill-Kreis district, in Hesse, Germany. It is located approximately 15 km north of Wetzlar. The municipality was formed in 1971 through the merger of several smaller villages. Its constituent villages include Brandoberndorf, Griedelbach, Hasselborn, Kraftsolms, Kröffelbach, and Weiperfelden. Waldsolms is characterized by its rural landscape and is situated in the Taunus mountains. The local economy is largely based on agriculture and small businesses, with increasing tourism. Historical landmarks include various churches and half-timbered houses in the different villages. The administrative seat of the municipality is in Brandoberndorf.
