The Tridge (Midland, Michigan)
The Tridge is a unique three-way pedestrian bridge located in Midland, Michigan, at the confluence of the Tittabawassee and Chippewa Rivers. Its name is a portmanteau of "tri" (for three) and "bridge." The Tridge is a prominent landmark and symbol of the city, serving as a vital link between various parts of Midland's downtown, including Dow Gardens, Chippewassee Park, Farmers Market, and Whiting Forest.
The bridge is constructed of Douglas fir wood and features a central hub from which three spans radiate outwards, each landing on a different riverbank. The design allows pedestrians to easily access multiple destinations from a single point.
