Tug Wilson (footballer)

Tug Wilson (born August 2, 1939, died February 14, 2021) was a professional American football player. He played as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles Rams from 1962 to 1968. He was drafted by the Rams in the 6th round of the 1962 NFL Draft. Prior to his NFL career, Wilson played college football at the University of Tampa. He was known for his toughness and consistency on the defensive line. Following his playing career, he remained involved in the Tampa Bay community.
