Ganwolsan (간월산, 肝月山) is a mountain located in Ulsan Metropolitan City, South Korea, specifically within the Yeongnam Alps mountain range. It is known for its rugged terrain, scenic views, and popular hiking trails.

Location and Geography:

Ganwolsan is situated on the border between Ulju County, Ulsan, and Gyeongju City, North Gyeongsang Province. It forms part of the larger Yeongnam Alps, a region characterized by high peaks and alpine landscapes. The mountain's altitude reaches 1,083 meters (3,553 feet) above sea level.

Features and Attractions:

• Hiking Trails: Ganwolsan is a popular destination for hikers of varying skill levels. Numerous trails lead to the summit, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Common starting points include Ganwoljae and Baenaegol.
• Ganwoljae (간월재): A wide grassy plateau located near the summit, Ganwoljae is a popular rest stop for hikers. It is renowned for its silver grass (eulalia) fields, which create a beautiful spectacle in the autumn months.
