Bill Robinson (outfielder)

Bill Robinson (October 27, 1943 – January 4, 2007) was an American professional baseball outfielder who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1966 to 1983.

Robinson played for several teams, most notably the Baltimore Orioles (1966-1971, 1977), Los Angeles Dodgers (1972-1974), Philadelphia Phillies (1975-1976), and Pittsburgh Pirates (1978-1983).

Primarily a left fielder, Robinson was known for his strong arm and consistent hitting. He was a member of the 1979 World Series champion Pittsburgh Pirates team, playing a key role in the team's success. During that season, he batted .275 with 11 home runs and 41 RBIs.

After his playing career, Robinson served as a coach for several MLB teams, including the Kansas City Royals, Pittsburgh Pirates, and New York Mets. He was respected for his knowledge of the game and his ability to work with young players.
