David Wilkins (sailor)

David Wilkins is an Irish sailor, best known for his achievements in the Flying Dutchman class. He represented Ireland at the Summer Olympic Games multiple times, winning a silver medal at the 1980 Moscow Olympics with crew member James Wilkinson. Wilkins and Wilkinson were also multiple-time Irish National Champions in the Flying Dutchman. Following his success in the Flying Dutchman, Wilkins also sailed in other classes including the Star. He has continued to be involved in sailing both competitively and in coaching roles.
