Danstedt

Danstedt is a village and a former municipality in the Harz district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the town Osterwieck. Danstedt is situated approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Wernigerode. Its history dates back several centuries, and it has traditionally been an agricultural community. The village features a mix of historical buildings and modern infrastructure. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture and small businesses. The population is relatively small, typical of rural communities in the region. Danstedt, while now administratively part of Osterwieck, retains its own local character and community life.
