Shek Kong

Shek Kong is an area located in the Yuen Long District of Hong Kong. It is primarily known for its military airfield, Shek Kong Airfield (石崗機場), which is shared by the People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison (PLAHKG) and the Hong Kong Aviation Club.

The area also encompasses residential villages, agricultural land, and other facilities supporting the airfield and the local community. Shek Kong's history is intertwined with the development of aviation in Hong Kong. The airfield played a significant role during World War II and has been subsequently utilized for both military and civilian aviation purposes.

Shek Kong is situated relatively close to other areas of Yuen Long, such as Pat Heung and Kam Tin. Transportation links connect Shek Kong to other parts of the New Territories and Hong Kong. While not a major commercial center, Shek Kong provides essential services and support to the residents and the military personnel stationed there.
