Douyu (town)

Douyu (斗鱼镇) is a town (镇; zhèn) located in Huilong County (回龙县), Ziyang City (资阳市), Sichuan Province (四川省), People's Republic of China. Douyu is situated in the east of Huilong County. It is primarily an agricultural area, known for the production of rice, wheat, and other crops. The town administers several villages and residential communities. Its economy is largely based on agriculture, with some small-scale industry also present. Historically, Douyu has been a rural market town serving the surrounding agricultural areas. Population figures fluctuate but are typical for a rural town in the region. The local dialect is a variation of Sichuanese Mandarin.
