John Miller (journalist and author)

John Miller is an American journalist, author, and law enforcement official. He is known for his work in investigative journalism, particularly in the areas of terrorism, crime, and security.

Miller has held various prominent positions throughout his career, including stints at ABC News, CBS News, and NBC News. While at ABC News, he secured a notable interview with Osama bin Laden in 1998. His reporting has earned him multiple Emmy Awards and other accolades.

Beyond journalism, Miller has also served in law enforcement and government roles. He was the Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence & Counterterrorism for the New York City Police Department (NYPD) under Police Commissioners Raymond Kelly and James O'Neill. In this role, he oversaw the NYPD's intelligence operations and counterterrorism efforts.
