HMS Swale

HMS Swale was the name of several ships of the British Royal Navy, named after the River Swale in Yorkshire, England. These ships include:

• HMS Swale (1905): A River-class destroyer launched in 1905 and sold in 1919. These destroyers were also known as E-class destroyers.

• HMS Swale (K217): A River-class frigate launched in 1942. She served during World War II and was sold in 1955. River-class frigates were designed as anti-submarine convoy escorts.
