Myrtle Avenue station (LIRR Evergreen Branch)

The Myrtle Avenue station was a station on the Long Island Rail Road's (LIRR) Evergreen Branch, also known as the Bushwick Branch. It was located at Myrtle Avenue and Broadway in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. The station served passengers traveling between Bushwick and other parts of Long Island.

The Evergreen Branch was originally built to serve freight traffic, but passenger service was added later. The line ran along an elevated structure above city streets. The Myrtle Avenue station, like other stations on the Evergreen Branch, was elevated.

Passenger service on the Evergreen Branch was discontinued in 1924, and the Myrtle Avenue station was closed. The elevated structure was eventually dismantled. Today, no trace of the station remains. It should not be confused with the still-existing Myrtle Avenue station on the BMT elevated lines, which continues to serve subway traffic.
