Joseph Phillips (Wisconsin politician)
Joseph Phillips (born March 25, 1827, died February 18, 1900) was an American farmer and politician. He served in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Lafayette County.
Born in Wales, Phillips immigrated to the United States and settled in Wisconsin. He engaged in farming. He was elected to the Assembly in 1874, serving a single one-year term in 1875. Phillips was a member of the Reform Party, a short-lived political coalition in Wisconsin composed primarily of Democrats and Grangers. He represented Lafayette County's 3rd Assembly district. Following his term in the Assembly, Phillips continued his farming activities. He died in Darlington, Wisconsin.
