William Finnegan (politician)

William Finnegan was an American politician who served as the 42nd Connecticut State Treasurer. He held the office from January 2011 to January 2019. A Democrat, Finnegan was elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014.

Prior to his role as State Treasurer, Finnegan had a career in finance and investment. He also served as a member of the Stamford Board of Finance. As Treasurer, he was responsible for overseeing the state's investments, managing its debt, and administering various state trust funds.
