Keith Johnson (Australian politician)
Keith Watkins Johnson (born 25 February 1930, died 9 February 2007) was an Australian politician who served as a Labor Party member of the Australian House of Representatives from 1969 to 1996, representing the Division of Burke in Victoria.
Born in Williamstown, Victoria, Johnson was a printer and trade union official before entering politics. He served as Secretary of the Victorian Branch of the Printing and Kindred Industries Union.
In Parliament, Johnson was a prominent voice on social justice issues and workers' rights. He was a long-serving member of various parliamentary committees. He consistently advocated for increased social security benefits and improvements to working conditions.
Following his retirement from federal politics in 1996, Johnson remained active in community affairs. He died in Melbourne in 2007.
